How Our Custom Album Design Process Works

We're not a do-your-own-design shop. Our custom album design process is a stress-free, guided, one-stop experience — from your first photos to final delivery. Here's exactly how it works, step by step.

Choosing Your Album & Getting Your Quote

  • Album size & number of sheets
  • Paper type
  • Binding style (SH Pro / Indi Pro Layflat / Indi Pro Flexi Layflat)
  • Cover material (suede, leather, acrylic, fabric, etc.)
  • Album box & carry bag
  • Scanning, editing, or design requirements
A full, itemized quote is provided once all your selections are made — so both of us are on the same page about price before we go any further.

Sharing Your Photos & Initial Review

Once you've shared your photos with us, our team reviews them and confirms your project is a great fit for a Crafted Memories album.

  • Up to 200 images included in the base fee
  • Additional photos: $25 per 50 images
  • Optional photo scanning & restoration
Once we've both reviewed everything and agreed to move forward, we'll confirm your project and walk you through the next step.

Confirming Your Project & Deposit

With your project confirmed, a $250 deposit — including a non-refundable $50 Administration Fee — officially begins your design and production work. A Crafted Memories representative will personally guide you through every step from here.

The $50 Administration Fee is always non-refundable. The $200 portion of your deposit becomes progressively less refundable as design work progresses — see our Refund Policy for the full breakdown by project stage.

Designing Your Album & Your Review

We curate your photos and design every spread by hand, around your story. You then receive a digital layout draft to review. Request any changes you'd like, and once everything looks right, you approve the final design. Learn what sets our professional photo album design apart from DIY software.

Nothing is printed until you approve the final design. The design and review stage is usually the longest part of the project, so quick feedback keeps everything on schedule.

Final Balance & Shipping

Once you approve the final design, the remaining balance is due in full before your album goes to print. Shipping within the 48 contiguous states is a flat rate added to this final balance:

  • $25 per Family Photo Book
  • $50 per Premium Album
Once your album is printed, the album price becomes non-refundable.
Prefer to pay shipping later? It is billed at the actual carrier cost when your album is ready, and your album ships once that payment is received. Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories and expedited shipping are quoted at actual cost. See our Shipping Policy for details.

From Digital Draft to Print Bindery & Delivery

We transmit your approved design to our high-end print bindery, where it's transformed into a luxury Custom Layflat Photo Album built to stand the test of time. Every album is inspected, carefully packed and shipped to your door with tracking.
